Heather Navarro is a Los Angeles-based senior digital producer, happy to be writing, editing, strategizing, and producing UX and premium social content.

She currently works for NBC Los Angeles as the Senior Digital Producer, leading the afternoon team through editorial coverage while breaking news, monitoring analytics and producing best-in-class social media to keep digital operations on the cutting edge of local news.

As social media lead, she crafted social media strategy for NBC Los Angeles’ millions of users in a No. 2 market, while coordinating strategy with Promotions and Community Departments to maximize revenue and reach.

She graduated with honors after earning her master’s degree in digital journalism from the University of Southern California.

She is also one of the select few to earn the Bryce Nelson Award for Distinguished Journalism.

She also graduated magna cum laude from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in print journalism after getting her start as magazine and newspaper editor at El Camino College.

She also published articles on the MTV Movies Blog site during her time at the Santa Monica campus.

While working as a content researcher at Internet Brands in El Segundo she researched keywords to create SEO rich content. She also Navarro wrote, reported, and shot photos for Patch.com in Hermosa and Manhattan Beaches.

Navarro also has worked as a technical copywriter — designing and writing instruction manuals — for toys at MGA Entertainment.
